Hello world,
There are only good vibes in the city that never sleeps. Somebody would find NY too frenetic as for a city to live, I personally love it and I am enjoying so much being here.
The best thing of being living in the centre of the fashion world is that sooner or later all your colleagues will pass by here. I was shocked on a casting the other day. I met Kathy, the American girl I shot with the Cotton Belt campaign in Marrakesh ages ago. And excuse me, meeting Christy Turlington –my idol together with Claudia Schiffer- right outside my house doesn’t happen everyday. Anyway, nothing compared to my nice chat with Sarah Jessica parker on a shopping afternoon in the Village without initially realizing who I had in front. Omg.
After shooting outside of NY the other day, inside an amazing –and freezing- house in Greenwich, I flew for a couple of days to Charleston, South Carolina, for the following job. I loved the peace and nature of that place, it is actually one of the most important touristic destinations in the States. Everything perfect, exept the moment of shooting on the pier, with my legs -and feet- hanging down above the stagnant water of the marsh. After my scary adventures in Cuba, you know, I see crocodiles anywhere lol.
If you have the opportunity to come to NY in the future, remember to bring industrial quantities of moisturizers and creams with you!! Skin tends to get little dry here; they do not know if this is due to the weather, the water, etc., but I can assure you that all models complain about the same! As you know, skin is one of the most important things in our job. So, bring as many creams and moisturizers as you can, drink a lot of water, and possibly make the closest Juice Bar your second best friend! The first remains without ANY doubt the NY subway map!! It is very easy to get lost here. I talk for experience lol #modelslife

Solo energia positiva nella città che non dorme mai. Anche se a qualcuno NY potrebbe sembrare un po’ troppo frenetica, a me personalmente piace da matti e sono al settimo cielo di essere qui.
Una delle cose più belle del fatto di vivere nel centro della moda a livello mondiale e’ che prima o poi tutte le tue colleghe passeranno di qua. L’altro giorno sono rimasta in stato di shock per 10 minuti a un casting. Ho rincontrato Kathy, la modella americana con cui avevo scattato secoli fa la campagna della Cotton Belt a Marrakech. E scusate, incontrare Christy Turlington -mio mito per anni insieme a Claudia Schiffer- sotto casa non è proprio cosa da poco. Per non parlare di Sarah Jessica Parker, con cui ho allegramente chiacchierato durante un pomeriggio di shopping in West Village senza all’inizio neanche lontanamente realizzare di chi avessi accanto.
Dopo aver scattato fuori NY l’altro giorno, precisamente a Greenwich, in una bellissima -quanto gelida- villa immersa nel verde, ho volato per la prima volta in vita mia a Charleston, in South Carolina, location del servizio successivo. Sono rimasta affascinata dalla pace e dalla bellezza di questo posto, fra l’altro una delle mete turistiche più gettonate degli States. Tutto perfetto insomma, a parte lo scatto sul pontile con tanto di gambe a penzoloni nell’acqua stagnante della palude. Scusate, ma dopo le mie avventure da film a Cuba vedo coccodrilli ovunque lol
Tornando a NY, nel caso doveste passare di qui in futuro, -viaggio raccomandatissimo- ricordatevi di mettere in valigia quantità industriali di creme, cremine e cremette: la pelle tende a diventare un po’ secca, non si sa bene se questo sia dovuto al clima, all’acqua, etc. So però che tutte le modelle si lamentano di questo! Come saprete la pelle e’ una delle cose più importanti nel nostro lavoro. Quindi, creme ed idratanti a volontà, bere tantissima acqua e possibilmente farvi migliori amici del Juice Bar più vicini a casa vostra!! Si ragazzi, niente da fare, il Juice Bar e’ destinato essere il vostro secondo miglior amico, dopo la mappa della metro di NY!! Perdersi qui e’ facilissimo. Vi parlo per esperienza lol #modelslife

Sólo energía positiva en la ciudad que nunca duerme. Aunque si para alguien NY podría parecer demasiado frenética, a mi personalmente me gusta muchísimo y soy feliz como una perdiz de estar aquí.
Una de las cosas más bonitas de vivir en el centro de la moda a nivel mundial es que antes o después todas tus compañeras pasarán por aquí. El otro día me quede en estado de shock por 10 minutos en un casting. Me encontré con Kathy, una modelo americana con quien protagonicé la campaña Cotton Belt en Marrakech, hace ya siglos. Y me perdonareis, pero encontrarme con Christy Turlington -mi ídolo junto a Claudia Schiffer- no es cosa que pasa cada día. Por no hablar de Sarah Jessica Parker, con la cual charle alegremente durante una tarde de shopping en el Village sin darme cuenta inicialmente de quien tenía al lado.
Después de trabajar en una campaña el otro día a las afueras de NY, en Greenwich, en una fantástica villa sumergida en el verde, volé por primera vez en mi vida a Charlestón, South Carolina, location del siguiente shooting. Quedé fascinada por la paz y belleza del lugar, que por cierto, es uno de los destinos turísticos más importantes de los Estados Unidos. Todo perfecto vamos, a parte el momento de mi foto sentada en el embarcadero con mis piernas colgando sobre el agua estancada del pantano. Me perdonareis, pero después de mis aventuras de película en Cuba veo cocodrilos y aligatores por todo lado lol.
Volviendo a NY, si venís por aquí en el futuro -viaje muy recomendado- acordaros de poner en vuestra maleta cremas, aceités y lociones hidratantes: la piel tende a secarse mucho aquí, no se sabe bien si debido al clima, al agua,… Pero os aseguro que todas las modelos se quejan de lo mismo! Ya sabéis come de importante es la piel para nuestro trabajo. Así qué, mucha hidratación , beber mucha agua, y posiblemente hacer del más cercano Juice Bar vuestro segundo mejor amigo!! El primero es sin duda ALGUNA el mapa del metro de NY! Es facilísimo perderse aquí. Os hablo por experiencia lol #modelslife
