Hello world,
I had an amazing time in Austin. It was my first time on the Circuit of the Americas, pure emotion.
First of all let me say that Austin is an amazing city. I had already been in Texas for a couple of times to shoot, in Dallas, but this was my first time in this other city. Apart from the crazy atmosphere of the first night -we arrived on Halloween, and we were the only ones around that were not dressed up lol- the other days we enjoyed Downtown, with its beautiful and very clean streets, fact that everyone of us noticed.
We chatted with the local people -super friendly- and met the most famous Mexican free-taled bat colony in the world! 650.000, 1 million, 2 millions…everyone gave us a different number, it doesn’t matter, the important thing is that, I can swear, the colony is huuuge. Everyday at sunset they leave the Congress Bridge for Houston, eating mosquitos on their way in/back. In Winter they become picky and fly to Mexico. I didn’t know bats love tequila.
During the daytime I spent all the weekend on the paddock and lived the nerves and the concentration of the race from very close. Pilots, mechanics, TV reporters, managers, beautiful people, thousands of paparazzi…and tyres, tyres everwhere!! I learnt a lot about this fascinating world, I can definitely say I discovered a new sporty passion 😉
Well, to tell the truth, this is not all new…what do you expect, I grew up in a family with 3 men -not to mention my boyfriend, another pilot-…all my weekends have always been full of races, tracks and engines. Who would have said that after years I would have met many of the heroes of those days in person?
Congratulations to Lewis Hamilton on his 10th victory of the season. Deserved. The Championship is getting exciting. Who is gonna win?
So sorry for my Ferrari…:-(…let’s hope to do better the next season…#fingerscrossed

L’ho passato in grande a Austin. La mia prima volta al Circuito de las Americas, pura emozione.
Per prima cosa permettetemi di dire che Austin mi è sembrata una città carinissima. Ero già stata in Texas diverse volte per lavoro, ma mai in quest’altra città. A parte l’atmosfera “crazy” della prima sera -siamo arrivati ad Halloween, con questo vi ho detto tutto, a cui aggiungerei il fatto che eravamo gli unici per strada non in maschera lol – gli altri giorni abbiamo approfittato per passeggiare per il Downtown e le sue belle stradine, pulitissime fra l’altro, fatto che abbiamo notato un po’ tutti.
Chiacchierando con la gente locale -carinissima- abbiamo scoperto la colonia di pipistrelli messicani più grande del mondo. 650.000, 1 milione, 2 milioni,…ognuno dava una cifra distinta, ma poco importa, la verità è che -credetemi- la colonia e’ davvero impressionante. La cosa curiosa e’ che ogni sera, al tramonto, si innalzano da Congress Bridge diretti a Houston, mangiando zanzare lungo il percorso di a/r. In inverno diventano selettivi e viaggiano in Messico. Non sapevo che ai pipistrelli piacesse la tequila.
Durante tutto il weekend abbiamo trascorso le giornate al paddock, vivendo da molto vicino i nervi e la concentrazione della gara. Piloti, meccanici, giornalisti, managers, bella gente, attori, celebs, centinaia di paparazzi…e pneumatici, pneumatici da tutte le parti!! Ho imparato moltissimo di questo mondo affascinante. Posso decisamente affermare di aver scoperto una nuova passione sportiva 😉
Beh, a dire la verità non è proprio del tutto nuova. Sono cresciuta in una famiglia con tre uomini -per non menzionare il mio fidanzato, altro pilota lol-… Da sempre i miei weekend sono fatti di gare, circuiti e motori. Chi avrebbe mai detto che dopo anni avrei incontrato personalmente molti degli eroi del tempo?
I miei complimenti a Lewis Hamilton per la sua decima vittoria della stagione. Meritata. Il Campionato si fa eccitante. Chi vincerà?
Mi dispiace molto per la mia Ferrari…:-(…Speriamo vada meglio la prossima stagione. #incrociamoledita

Lo pase de maravilla en Austin. Mi primera vez en el Circuit of the Americas, pura emoción.
Primero, dejad que os diga que Austin me pareció una ciudad maravillosa. Había ya estado un par de veces en Texas por distintas sesiones fotográficas, en Dallas, pero era mi primera vez en esta otra ciudad. A parte la atmósfera “crazy” de la primera noche -llegamos en Halloween, ya lo he dicho todo, ademas de que éramos los únicos sin disfraz lol- el resto de días disfrutamos del Downtown, con sus calles bonitas y muy muy limpias, hecho que nos llamo la atención a todos.
Hablando con la gente local -cariniiiiiiisima- nos llamo la atención la colonia de murciélagos mexicanos más grande del mundo. 650.000., 1.000.000., 2.000.000.,… cada uno nos daba cifras desiguales, pero poco importa, os puedo jurar que la colonia era realmente impresionante. Cada noche cuando oscurece salen del Congress Bridge en dirección a Houston, comiendo mosquitos en el recorrido de ida y vuelta. En invierno se hacen pijos y marchan a Mexico. No sabia que a los murciélagos les gustara el tequila.
Durante todo el fin de semana pasamos el día en el Paddock, viviendo muy de cerca la concentración y los nervios de la carrera. Pilotos, mecánicos, periodistas, managers, gente guapa, actores, celebs, centenares de paparazzi… y neumáticos, neumáticos por todos lados!! Aprendí muchísimo de este mundo tan fascinante. Puedo definitivamente afirmar que he descubierto una nueva pasión deportiva 😉
Bueno, esta en realidad no es nueva del todo. Crecí en una familia con tres hombres -sin mencionar a mi novio, que también es piloto-… desde siempre mis fines de semana tienen mucho de carreras, circuitos y coches. Quien me hubiera dicho que después de tantos años al final me encontraría con muchos de esos heroes personalmente?
Debo felicitar a Lewis Hamilton por su decima victoria de la temporada. Merecida. El campeonato se hace excitante. Quien ganara?
Lo siento mucho por la mía Ferrari…:-(…Ojalá vaya mejor la próxima temporada. #cruzemoslosdedos
